An electrical contracting company came to us looking to scale the business and take it to the next level. The two owners, both from a trade background, had grown the business to around $2.5M but had stalled the growth. Both partners were uncertain how to expand the business and what was required, and frustration had set in. It was clear that the current team members’ expertise was in their trade, not in driving business strategy and growth.
We realigned the business and developed the strategy to grow it to $10m over the next five years. We did this by working on a three-year budget and forecasting model, making sure we supported controlled growth and minimising pressure on the operating cash. The new sales process and sales training we implemented attracted larger business opportunities, accelerating revenue growth to $10m with an average project value increased from $200k to $1.5m. An incredible result.
