Islamic College: Case Study

Islamic College of Sydney, a not-for-profit Islamic school based in Australia.
The school was founded by the owners/board members and had struggled to gain traction and attract the expertise of talented resources and leadership required to deliver the school’s vision. The expertise on the ground had insufficient knowledge and skills to lead and drive to the school’s ultimate goal of being the “best Islamic school in the country”.
Working with the Board of Directors, we developed a 15-year strategic plan, 3-year financial budgeting models. The recruitment of a new CEO injected the school with a high level of strategic visioning and leadership qualities. The new CEO developed the organisational structure and introduced an extensive school improvement plan. New training programs and professional development for staff and managers, a comprehensive marketing plan and delivery of external marketing experts to drive initiatives and increase community awareness. The successful recruitment of the CEO opened up the restructuring and development of the organisation and the marketing push saw an immediate jump in enrolments which are inline with the strategic goals and outcomes for the schools outcomes.
